Fall in love with South Street all over again this May 3rd, 2025, as we kick-off our famous street festival, South Street Live!

Showcasing the dynamic spirit of Philadelphia, South Street Live!  is a community rooted experience offering 5 stages of live performances, immersive art, local vendors, and cultural experiences that highlight what makes this commercial corridor so vibrant. From west to east, South Street Live!  programming will include:

  • Nocturnal Takeover  - Grab your board because Nocturnal will be popping up with an open street skate jam including DJs, food, drinks, and giveaways!

400 Block of South Street

  • Sustainability Hub - Shop local vendors specializing in reuse, and meet leaders of the green movement including our event partner, Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages!

300 Block of South Street

  • Artist Row - South Street is known as a historic setting for all things art! Come discover local artists, poets, and musicians.

 

200 Block of South Street

  • The Cultural Hub - Join us for a showcase of live performances, creative organizations, non-profits, and local community groups from around Greater Philadelphia!

Headhouse Plaza @ 2nd and South Streets

  • The Twisted Tail's Kentucky Derby Lane & Plaza Jawn: Enjoy international fare from Southern comforts to Mexican, Italian, and more! Relax with live music, cold beverages, and watch the Kentucky Derby on a jumbo outdoor screen while the kids enjoy sports activities with the Philadelphia Union!

  • Queen & Rook Fantasy Renn Faire - Live performances including swordplay and fire dancing, local vendors, renaissance faire food, and more!​

South Street Headhouse District was founded in 1993 to improve public safety, sanitation and municipal services to the South Street business district to a business community comprised of over 400 diverse businesses. Their mission is to plan improvements to the commercial corridor utilizing innovative marketing strategies and artistic enhancements to the neighborhood. They support the work of the community by hosting events to highlight the many makers and creators and support and amplify their work.

DaVinci Art Alliance is a 93 year old artist collaborative housed at 7th and Catharine in South Philly. DVAA hosts over 30 exhibitions every year in our building and two satellite locations and fun creative programming and professional development opportunities around the city.
